The advanced photojournalism:
Throughout the semester we are assigned
to shoot essays. Below are listed links to the essays I've
completed:
Essay
1- As a class, we were assigned to shoot the Chinese Lunar
New Year. I went to Chinatown and got the typical celebration
shots, but also made it over to a friend's house in Sheepshead
Bay, Brooklyn to capture moments of a traditional meal.
Essay
2-
Our assignment was to photograph the color blue. Now, I don't
know about you, but that's pretty abstract. So, I tried to
put a story to it...
Essay
3- On February 15, 2003
the world saw the largest coordinate antiwar demonstration
ever. In city's around the globe millions turned out to express
their discontent with the Bush administration's seemingly
steadfast path toward a military invasion of Iraq. In New
York City, close to 500,000 people gathered along First, Second
and Third Avenues to see a stage of speakers and express themselves.
I was able to elbow my way into the press pit in front of
the stage, then made my way along the streets in search of
freaky scenes. Take a look at what I found.
Midterm
Essay-
Even residents of New York City have a hard time getting to
know every nook and cranny of this vast metropolis. Sometimes
ways to explore seem daunting. But, for a group of eager,
young professional Manhattanites, a scavenger hunt through
Williamsburg Brooklyn served as a great vehicle to get them
across the East River into parts unknown. Travel with them
on their journey.
